The secret is that they constantly reinvest in coaches, trainers, and frameworks to help them get to the next level!
They seek out mentors who know how to get the results they’re looking for and can accelerate their progress. This is the mark of any great leader – continuous education and self-development.
Before I became a Business Success Coach, I spent the last 21 years coming up with ideas and starting and building companies.
I’ve made a lot of mistakes, but I’ve managed to have a few successes along the way.
I was, what I now know, is called an unconscious competent. By that I mean although I have had successes, I didn’t really understand why I’d been successful or how to replicate it. Often then things would go well for a while and then something would go wrong and I’d be back to square one trying to figure out what to do next.
I even sold one company many years ago for over £2 million but I wasted most of the sales proceeds and a couple of years later was financially not in the best place. I’ve since come to realise that, at that time, I did not have an attitude towards money that benefitted me.
I would have carried on with this stop-start pattern ad infinitum, but, luckily for me, I found a mentor.
He helped me realise that the foundation of success in any field is developing the right mindset (including the right money mindset).
And, further, he taught me that it is incredibly hard to develop the right mindset by yourself. In fact, he told me in his 50 years of experience working with hundreds of thousands of individuals both employees and entrepreneurs, he’d never seen anyone do it successfully without a helping hand from some form of mentor or coach.
That is why all of the top people in every field have coaches or mentors. They recognise they need help if they want to get to the top of their game and they seek out the right people to get them there.
So, my question for you is: are you doing the same? Do you want to be the best version of yourself you can possibly be?
